DIC Entertainment (pronounced "deek") occurs as film production company which was created inside 1971 by Jean Chalopin in Luxembourg, as a subsidiary of Radio-Television Luxembourg. DIC stands for Diffusion, Facts et Communication. A company's United States headquarters, established in 1982 & headed by Andy Heyward and Robby London are in Burbank, California. DiC is presently independent, however at different days it used to be that was owned by the Walt Disney Company and Bain Capital.

Additionally to asurvive (& from time to time survive-action) tv show, DiC produced live-action feature (under Disney, that is), including 1998's Meet the Deedles and 1999's Inspector Gadget.
